2026 MTV Video Music Awards Nominations Led by Madonna, Taylor Swift & Sabrina Carpenter


Madonna receives a record-breaking number of nominations at the 2026 MTV VMAs, with Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter close behind in a star-studded field honouring the year's most visually innovative music videos.  

The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards nominations have been unveiled, with pop icon Madonna leading the pack in what marks a historic showing for the legendary performer. The ceremony, one of the music industry's most anticipated annual events, will honour the best music videos and visual achievements of the past year across dozens of categories including Video of the Year, Best New Artist, and genre-specific recognitions. Following closely behind Madonna are global superstars Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter, both earning multiple nominations across the night's most competitive categories.
 
The nominations reflect another massive year for female artists, with the three aforementioned acts dominating the top categories. Also scoring multiple nods are BTS, Ariana Grande, and KATSEYE, continuing their award-winning streaks throughout the 2026 season. The highly coveted Video of the Year category features a who's who of the music industry's biggest names, with each nominee delivering visually ambitious and culturally impactful productions.
